District Executive/Scouting Professional Position Description

The Piedmont Council, Scouting America headquartered in Gastonia, NC and serving eleven counties of Western North Carolina, has an immediate need for energetic & self-motivated individuals to serve as a District Executive/Scouting Professional. This is a sales & management career opportunity that is goal oriented and demands growth in the areas of membership development, fundraising, and working with top community leaders and volunteers. Scouting America believes and understands that helping youth puts us on a path towards a more responsible and productive society.

Goal oriented, communication skills, time management, sales, some evenings and weekends. Manage all Scouting programs within a geographic territory. Territories currently available serving Gaston and Lincoln Counties, Iredell County, and Burke, Caldwell and McDowell Counties of North Carolina. Must be willing to accept and meet the leadership and membership standards of Scouting America. Ability to work varied hours, evening activities and weekend work is required. Have a willingness and ability to devote long and irregular hours to achieve objectives. Provide quality service through timely communication, regular meetings, training events, and activities. Must be willing to relocate to the geographic area of responsibility. Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university is required.
