Speech-Language Pathology Assistant

Job Title: Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA)

Location: Westview / Miami Area

Position Type: Full-Time | School-Based

Start Date: Immediate Hire for Current and Upcoming School Year

Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to join a school-based team in the Westview/Miami area. This position will support students in grades K–12 under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist.

The caseload and student population are still being determined, making this a great opportunity for a flexible and collaborative SLPA who is comfortable working with a variety of age groups and communication needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide speech and language therapy services to students in grades K–12 under the supervision of a licensed SLP
  • Implement treatment plans and therapy activities developed by the supervising SLP
  • Work with students individually and in small groups to address speech, language, articulation, fluency, and social communication goals
  • Collect data on student performance and maintain accurate session notes and progress documentation
  • Support students in generalizing communication skills within the classroom and school environment
  • Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, parents, and the supervising SLP to support student success
  • Assist with preparation of therapy materials and other related duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology Assisting or a related field
  • Active Florida SLPA license required
  • Previous experience working in a school-based setting preferred
  • Experience working with K–12 students and a variety of communication disorders is a plus
  • Strong communication, organizational, and teamwork skills
  • Ability to adapt to a caseload and student population that is still being determined
