Health Care Assistant

The Health Care Assistant will support the day-to-day operations of the Health Center, including assisting with medication dispensing and record-keeping, stocking first aid and travel kits, and performing daily inspections of cabins and buildings. The role requires helping to establish healthy practices within the camp community and being on duty as needed to assist in medical emergencies. The assistant will collaborate with the Nurse/Physician and Leadership Team, orienting volunteer medical personnel and sharing pertinent medical information with counselors and food service staff. If qualified as a Camp Don Lee-approved driver, the assistant will also transport campers and staff to medical appointments. Ideal candidates should have a general interest in healthcare operations, be certified in basic first aid and CPR, and have experience working with children, including addressing childhood medical needs.
