Early Childhood Teacher
Job description:
Giving Tree Early Learning, part of the Hasten Hebrew Academy of Indianapolis, is seeking a caring, flexible, and dependable Early Childhood Teacher to join our team.
This role is ideal for someone who loves working with young children and enjoys being a steady, helpful presence across classrooms. Our early childhood program is warm, relationship-based, and grounded in developmentally appropriate, child-centered learning.
Responsibilities may include:
- Supporting teachers in infant, toddler, and preschool classrooms as needed
- Assisting with transitions, small groups, and daily routines
- Helping maintain a safe, calm, and nurturing classroom environment
- Stepping in to support coverage during breaks, absences, or high-need moments
- Assisting with materials preparation, organization, and classroom set-up
- Building positive, caring relationships with children and staff
We’re looking for someone who:
- Is patient, flexible, and genuinely enjoys young children
- Works well as part of a collaborative team
- Is comfortable supporting multiple classrooms and age groups
- Brings a calm, positive presence to busy days
- Has experience in early childhood settings (preferred but not required)
