Residency Marketing Intern

I-Park Foundation, Inc. (I-Park)

2026 Residency, Marketing and Event Planning Intern (Paid Position) 

Qualifications: Background in and/or passion for the arts and nature, excellent people (including written and verbal communication) skills, photography and videography skills.  Can-do spirit, a desire to engage with creative folks and a love for the outdoors is essential. Candidate must be highly organized, possess up-to-date social media competencies and a high level of expertise in the Microsoft Office, Google Drive, Adobe software suites (preferably InDesign) and Canva. 

 

Reports to: Managing Director

Work Schedule: 10 to 15 per week in Spring (May), 25 to 30 hours in Summer and Fall, must be available for weekend and evening activities. Flexible, but predictable schedule and some remote work available.  

 

Duties and Responsibilities

Community Event Planning

• Assist Managing Director in the planning for, and participate in, community events and I-Park’s public programs

• Assist Managing Director with hosting occasional facility tours (meet and greet, hospitality, follow-up)

• Serve as an advocate for I-Park within the public domain

• Assist Managing Director in the organizing, planning and convening of community events

• Liaison to Music Ensemble, provide tech support


Marketing, Promotion, Communications

  • Throughout the summer, promote our public programs within the arts community and increase audience attendance
  • Work in coordination with the Managing Director and relevant committees to develop marketing materials/initiatives  
  • Assist Managing Director in the writing and designing of press releases, brochures, flyers and pamphlets for the organization
  • Provide input/content for the website and social media channels
  • Post content to social media channels with the goal of increasing social media presence 
  • Weekly analytical reporting of all social media channels and website traffic to monitor progress  
  • Outreach to underserved communities and youth to encourage participation in our public events  
  • Organize photo documentation from various Dropbox and servers into Smugmug central photo repository

 

2026 General Residency Program (June 2 to November 2)

  • Assist Managing Director in providing artists’ support: procuring materials, problem solving, building of artwork, residency change-over 
  • Help with artists’ transportation, weekly shopping runs, airport/train pick-ups, health clinic runs
  • Documentation of the residency experience: capturing the emotion and essence through the written word, photo and/or video and creating content to promote the public exhibition weekend
  • Prep/tech runs for Artists’ Exchange

Administrative

  • Assist Managing Director with follow-up with volunteers, contributors, visitors (email/mail)
