The April McClain Delaney for Congress campaign is seeking a full-time or part-time Deputy Organizer for the 2026 primary and general election. A Deputy Organizer will work on volunteer engagement, voter contact, and visibility activities necessary for AMD for Congress to win this highly competitive seat. A Deputy Organizer will be responsible for engaging voters and volunteers, and will report directly to the Organizing Director or an Organizer.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:  

  • Contact volunteers and voters;
  • Lead phone banks, text banks, canvassing, and other organizing activities;
  • Build relationships with community partners;
  • Leverage digital voter contact and tools;
  • Work collaboratively to ensure goals are being met.

Our ideal candidate for the position has the following qualifications and attributes: 

  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills;
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively, demonstrating a flexible, unflappable demeanor and strong listening skills;
  • Required to be based in the Maryland/DC area, willing to travel to an office and be in-person regularly, and flexible to work irregular hours, including nights and weekends;
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license and have access to reliable transportation;
  • No Campaign or political experience required;
  • Understanding of American politics and important current events;
  • Bilingual in English/Spanish and ties to Maryland politics are pluses but not required.

This position is available part-time as well. Salary will be adjusted accordingly.
