Summer Youth Coordinator

Femergy®'s Chica Camp is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Summer Youth Coordinator to join our team! 

The Summer Youth Coordinator plays a vital role in ensuring the successful planning and execution of the Femergy Chica Summer Experience. This position offers hands-on experience in nonprofit program coordination, youth engagement, and administrative support, while contributing to the personal growth and development of girls in the community. 

 

Mandatory Requirement:  

  • This position requires overnight attendance for Chica Camp from Sunday, May 31st, 2026 through Friday, June 5th, 2026 
  • Overnight attendance is required for the entire duration of the camp 
  • A mandatory camp orientation will be held on May 23rd, 2026 

 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Work directly with youth participants ages 12–18, fostering a positive and inclusive environment 
  • Facilitate and support activities designed to build confidence, leadership, and life skills 
  • Assist in coordinating daily program operations and ensuring activities run smoothly 
  • Collaborate with staff, volunteers, and community partners to implement program initiatives 
  • Provide administrative support, including scheduling, communication, and program logistics 
  • Encourage participant engagement and create a safe, empowering space where youth feel supported and valued 

 

Qualifications: 

  • Interest in youth development, education, or nonprofit work 
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills 
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment 
  • Organizational skills and attention to detail 
  • Passion for empowering young people and supporting their growth 
  • In-person availability (weekdays and weekends) 
  • Must be able to lift at least 15 lbs and stand for sustained periods of time
