Bike Tour Guide
Earn on your schedule — lead rides when it works for you
Summer Feet Cycling (Portland EnCYCLEpedia) is building a pool of Day Trip Guides for the 2026 May–October season — and we’re looking for people who want to earn on their own terms. This is not a fixed-schedule position. You tell us your availability, we match you to tours when demand is there. Some guides work a few days a week; others pick up a shift here and there around another job or other commitments. Either way works for us. You’ll lead small groups on half- and full-day rides through Portland, Cape Elizabeth, and the coast, sharing local knowledge and making sure guests have a great experience. Compensation includes hourly pay, tips, and meals on tour. To apply, please send a resume and a short note about yourself to norman@summerfeet.net
What we’re looking for:
• A love of Portland and genuine excitement about sharing it with visitors
• Strong customer service skills — warm, patient, and comfortable with mixed-ability groups
• Solid knowledge of Portland-area cycling routes and local highlights
• Confident cyclist able to ride comfortably at a relaxed, guest-friendly pace
• Basic bike troubleshooting skills (flat tires, quick adjustments) — or willingness to learn
• Availability on weekends and/or summer weekdays during the May–October season
• Current First Aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain before your first tour)
• Calm problem-solving under pressure — weather, route changes, and surprises happen
