Pet Sitter and Dog Walker

As a In-Home Pet Sitter / Dog Walker, you’ll have the opportunity to build meaningful relationships with pets and their families while providing professional, compassionate, and reliable care. Responsibilities

  • Provide in-home pet sitting visits and overnight stays for dogs, cats, and other household pets.
  • Offer daily dog walks, playtime, feedings, fresh water, and companionship tailored to each pet’s routine.
  • Follow detailed client instructions for feeding, medication, and household care (including mail collection, plant watering, or trash services as needed).
  • Ensure pets are safe, comfortable, and emotionally supported while their owners are away.
  • Monitor animal behavior, noting any changes in appetite, mood, or health, and communicate observations promptly to the client.
  • Maintain professionalism in every home, respecting client privacy and property.
  • Use our scheduling and reporting system to confirm visits, share photo updates, and complete visit reports.
  • Provide basic cleaning and care tasks (litter scooping, accident cleanup, sanitizing pet areas).
  • Deliver exceptional customer service through clear, friendly communication and reliable follow-through.

Requirements

  • Prior experience in pet sitting, dog walking, animal care, or veterinary support strongly preferred.
  • Genuine love for animals and comfort caring for pets of all sizes, breeds, and temperaments.
  • Dependable, organized, and professional with excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively across multiple daily visits.
  • Comfortable entering client homes and adhering to specific pet care and security instructions.
  • Must be at least 18 years old, have a valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and a smartphone for scheduling and client updates.
  • Must pass a background check and reference verification prior to hiring.
