Role Summary
The Marketing & Graphic Design Intern supports the development, organization, and execution of marketing and proposal materials. This role focuses on creating high-quality visual assets, standardizing templates, and building an organized, scalable marketing library that improves proposal efficiency and brand consistency.
Key Responsibilities
• Design and produce marketing materials using Adobe InDesign (primary tool)
• Develop and standardize proposal templates and layouts
• Organize and structure marketing files and asset libraries for easy access and reuse
• Support proposal development through graphics, formatting, and light narrative drafting
• Maintain version control and file management systems
• Collaborate with business development and marketing leads to align materials with brand standards
• Apply AI tools to assist with drafting and content development (where appropriate)
Expected Deliverables
• Branded proposal templates ready for repeated use
• Organized, searchable marketing asset library
• High-quality marketing collateral (graphics, layouts, visual elements)
• Structured file system that improves operational efficiency
• Materials that are actively used in proposals and marketing efforts
Required Skills
Technical
• Proficiency in Adobe InDesign (required)
• Basic understanding of graphic design principles and layout
• Strong attention to detail (formatting, spelling, consistency)
• Familiarity with AI tools for drafting (preferred)
Soft Skills
• Able to work independently with minimal oversight
• Strong ability to follow directions and execute
• Highly organized and detail-oriented
• Collaborative, motivated, and proactive
• Fast learner with high standards for quality
Preferred Background
• Major or coursework in Graphic Design, Marketing, Communications, or related field
• Interest in architecture, design, sustainability, or equity-driven work
• Exposure to proposal development or marketing support is a plus
• Strong writing ability is a bonus
Schedule & Logistics
• Duration: Summer (May–August, flexible)
• Hours: ~20 hours/week (with flexibility to increase)
• Location: In-office (6000 Block of San Vicente Blvd)
• Schedule: Flexible within standard business hours (9 am–6 pm)
• Compensation: Minimum wage
• Parking: Provided if needed
Supervision
• Reports to: Business Development / Marketing Leadership
• Day-to-day oversight provided by the internal team
Success Criteria
• Marketing materials are streamlined, organized, and reusable
• Templates are actively used in proposals
• Deliverables remain usable and valuable after the internship ends
• Demonstrates ability to execute independently with minimal rework
