Position Overview

WorkLife Partnership is seeking a Marketing & Communications Intern to support our digital marketing and storytelling efforts. This role is ideal for someone who wants hands-on experience creating content, managing social media, and contributing to mission-driven communications.

You’ll work closely with our client service team to bring our impact to life through compelling stories and campaigns.

What You’ll Do

  • Create and schedule social media content (primarily LinkedIn)
  • Draft and edit content, including:
    • Social media posts
    • Email newsletters
    • Blog and website content
  • Support storytelling efforts by helping translate program outcomes into engaging content
  • Assist with minor updating of website content (WordPress)
  • Help build and format email campaigns (Mailchimp)
  • Support CRM-related tasks such as contact list updates and organization
  • Track and report on basic marketing metrics (engagement, open rates, clicks)
  • Collaborate with team members to gather content and ensure accuracy

Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a program in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or a related field
  • Strong writing and editing skills
  • Interest in marketing, storytelling, and nonprofit work
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail
  • Able to manage deadlines and work independently in a remote environment
  • Open to feedback and eager to learn

Preferred (Not Required)

  • Experience with Canva or basic graphic design
  • Familiarity with Mailchimp, WordPress, or similar tools
  • Exposure to CRM systems (Salesforce or similar)
  • Basic understanding of email marketing or analytics
