Pro Shop Attendant

Job Title: Pro Shop Attendant

POSITION SUMMARY:

This part-time and in-person position is responsible for the day-to-day operation of the Pro Shop.  This position will support the needs of the sports professionals to ensure that members receive first-rate service.  The Pro Shop Attendant needs to have knowledge of the racquet sports offered at the BFC and a thorough understanding of the membership categories that clearly define member access to the sports facilities and other member privileges.  He/she must have exceptional organization and communication skills and must be able to work flexible hours that may include evenings, weekends and holidays as determined by the needs of the members and set by the Board of Governors.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  1. During scheduled shift, ensure the Pro Shop opens and/or closes on scheduled time.
  2. Support the management of office systems for court/pool reservations and event registrations.
  3. Provide exemplary member service which includes, but is not limited to, greeting members and guests, answering the phone, emailing members, fielding, and directing inquiries.
  4. Have knowledge of emergency situation processes and procedures.
  5. Resolve member and guest problems quickly and efficiently.
  6. Communicate and enforce rules to members and notify Pros of continued issues, if necessary.
  7. Ensure Pro Shop area and Fitness Center are properly maintained and clean, including fitness equipment management.
  8. Enthusiastically promote Club offerings and services.
  9. Assist with arranging and displaying of Pro Shop merchandise and encourage sales to members.
  10. Continue to learn the Jonas Management System to fully utilize all functionality.
  11. Pro Shop Attendant is a liaison with the sports professionals as needed to coordinate successful programming.
  12. Able to independently troubleshoot IT problems with Pro Shop computers, network, and camera system and communicate same to co-workers.
  13. Other tasks as requested by manager.

  3. Comfortable, friendly, and professional in the ability to interact and build relationships with members.
  4. Thorough knowledge of the Jonas Management System and the Online BFC member portal
