Commercial Co-Op

Job Highlights

We are seeking multiple motivated and detail-oriented Commercial Co-ops to join our team and gain hands-on experience in the specialty chemicals industry, specifically with Lubricants and Lubricant Additives Industries (LAB). This role will work with Product Management, Supply Chain Management and/or Business Development, working on impactful projects that drive cost savings, identify new market opportunities and enhance internal chemical asset and financial performance.

  • Support Product Management in analyzing product performance, strategies and market trends.
  • Assist Supply Chain Management with inventory optimization, cost-reduction initiatives and monthly reporting.
  • Collaborate with Business Development to research and evaluate growth opportunities in emerging markets.
  • Prepare and maintain monthly performance reports on chemical assets and financial metrics.
  • Participate in cross-functional projects aimed at improving operational efficiency and profitability.
  • Conduct data analysis to identify trends and recommend actionable insights.
  • Contribute to presentations and reports for internal stakeholders and leadership teams.

Experience / Skills

  • Must be currently enrolled in a higher education sponsored Co-Op program and pursuing a degree in one of the following disciplines:  Business Administration, Marketing, Data Analytics, Chemistry or Chemical Engineering, Industrial or Systems Engineering, Supply Chain Management or another closely related field.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.  Familiarity with data visualization tools is a plus.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • A go-getter attitude with curiosity to learn about the business side of specialty chemicals.
  • This is a HYBRID role with the expectation that the candidates will be on-site several days per week at the Shelton, Connecticut office.  Intended start date of July, 2026.  The co-op program is expected to last for six months (July - December).
