The Department of Homeless Services & Housing is seeking qualified candidates to fill emergency Account Clerk II vacancies related to the homelessness crisis.

What You’ll Do:
- Provide clerical support to accounting operations: Assist higher level accounting staff with the day to day operation of accounting systems and financial processes
- Maintain and reconcile accounting records: Perform complex bookkeeping tasks including trial balances, account and bank reconciliations, and tracking large volumes of financial transactions
- Support financial tracking and reporting: Compile financial, statistical, and operational reports using data across multiple accounting periods
- Process and review financial transactions: Post and journalize entries, code and verify documents, and assist with accounts payable, accounts receivable, and cost accounting activities
- Assist with inventory and reimbursement processes: Maintain inventory records, investigate discrepancies, and prepare claims for reimbursement and supporting documentation
Minimum Requirements
- One year of accounting clerical experience at the level of LA County’s class of Account Clerk I
