Graduate Assistant – Office of Educator Preparation  

The Office of Educator Preparation is seeking a highly motivated graduate student to serve as a Graduate Assistant in the Office of Educator Preparation. In this role, the individual will assist in supporting initiatives related to educator preparation programs, research, and data analysis. Key responsibilities include:  

  • Assist with management of databases and data collection systems for educator preparation programs.  
  • Analyze and interpret data from multiple sources to support reports, program evaluations, and research projects.  
  • Collaborate with faculty and staff to analyze trends, program outcomes, and assessment data.  
  • Provide support in data cleaning, validation, and organization for various research and administrative projects.  
  • Assist in preparing reports and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.  
  • Help with the maintenance of databases and systems to ensure data accuracy and consistency.  
  • Support other administrative tasks related to educator preparation, as needed.  

Resume should demonstrate the following: 

Candidates should have experience or coursework supporting data analysis, with the ability to work with datasets, organize information, and assist in interpreting results. 

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP), and data management tools is required. Familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, PowerBI). 

Ideal candidates will demonstrate a high level of organization and attention to detail through prior work experience, including examples of managing complex tasks, maintaining data accuracy, and working independently with minimal supervision. 

Candidates must demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills through prior experience, including drafting professional emails, answering phones, and communicating effectively with students or clients in a professional setting. 

MUST be available Monday through Friday and work a minimum of 4 hours per day.  

This position is in the Education Building, Suite ED 2016.
