Position Summary
The Track & Field Sprints/Hurdles/Jumps Camp Counselor will assist with coaching and leading campers while following required safety protocols. Duties include teaching campers sports-related skills, leading camp activities, explaining rules and techniques to campers, and providing motivation, encouragement, and support to all campers.

Required Job Qualifications
- Must be an incoming or current CSU student-athlete
- High school degree
- Experience practicing and competing in Track and Field at an elite level
- Excellent communication skills to teach campers and provide necessary or critical information to the camp director on an urgent basis
- Interpersonal skills to build positive relationships with campers while attending CSU sports camps
Preferred Job Qualifications
- Teaching experience in applicable sport
- Desire and ability to work in a camp setting
- Be a good role model with high integrity, and be adaptable to changes
Essential Duties
- Provide instruction to campers as directed by the camp director and/or head coach
- Act as a positive role model and provide encouragement and support to campers
- Assist camp director or coaching staff with non-coaching needs for camps including registration, organization, other duties as assigned
- Adapt to changing camp schedules
- Communicate effectively to campers and help with answering camper questions when applicable
- Be prepared to assist with responding to urgent situations or emergencies if they arise as directed by the camp director, head coach, or coaching staff
