Automotive Lot Attendant
Position Summary
Monitors inventory, maintains parking lot, coordinates deliveries, inspects lease returns, and performs pre-delivery inspections.
Essential Functions
- Assists in daily operations related to new/used vehicle receiving, delivery procedures and inventory control.
- Inspects vehicles for any damage in accordance with department policies and procedures.
- Performs pre-delivery inspection on new car arrivals and create files listing any issues that may need to be addressed.
- Performs vehicle inspections on off lease vehicle returns noting mileage, options, interior and exterior damages.
- Processes vehicle data regarding new or off lease vehicles into inventory system of record.
- Coordinates recondition of vehicles prior to new lease delivery or lease return disposal.
- Maintains a safe working environment and performs light building maintenance.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- No travel required.
Education/Experience Requirements
- High school diploma or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
- 1 year of automotive service industry experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Must have a valid driver’s license and no more than 2 violations or at fault accidents within the last 3 years.
- Ability to operate a wide variety of cars, light trucks, and vans, with ability to drive manual and automatic transmissions.
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Team player, able to work effectively and multi-task in fast paced environment.
- Must have experience with Microsoft Office suite, e.g., Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, and Internet.
- Schedule must be flexible with ability to travel.
Physical Requirements
- Must be able to work in an open environment under extreme temperatures.
- Must be able to frequently lift 50lbs.
- Must be able to occasionally lift up to 100lbs.
