Waterski Instructor
Located in the Adirondacks, Point O’Pines Camp for Girls is looking for Waterski Instructors to teach safe, age-appropriate waterskiing, help campers build confidence and skills on the water, and serve as a Specialty Counselor in the waterfront program. Waterski Instructors may serve as in-bunk or out-of-bunk staff depending on camp needs.
Key Responsibilities
Waterski & Specialty Area
- Plan and lead daily waterskiing sessions, including instruction in deep-water starts, balance, turns, and boat safety.
- Teach beginner to advanced waterskiing and/or wakeboarding skills while promoting confidence, perseverance, and fun.
- Adapt instruction for varying ages and ability levels.
- Ensure camper safety at all times, including proper use of life jackets and adherence to waterfront safety protocols.
- Assist with docking, launching, and general boat operations.
- Maintain and organize waterski equipment, boats, and gear.
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and encouraging environment on the dock and on the water.
- PV License training will be provided during orientation.
General Specialty Counselor Duties
- Supervise campers and ensure active, safe participation.
- Participate in camp-wide day and evening activities.
- Support camp operations and special events as assigned.
