The Mt. Lebanon School District is seeking applicants for the position of Permanent Substitute School Librarian for the 2026-2027 school year.

This is a full-time, on-site, temporary assignment. This is a split year assignment at Jefferson Middle School during the first semester, and Foster Elementary School during the second semester.

A permanent substitute assignment is a long-term substitute assignment of a full semester or more. This position will be eligible for an annual salary at step 1 of the teachers' salary schedule, starting at $58,000 depending upon education credential. The position is also eligible for paid time off in the form of sick and personal days and individual health, dental, and vision insurance coverage. 

In order to be eligible to apply, the candidate must hold an active Library Science PK-12 Certificate from the Pennsylvania Department of Education.
 

Applicants with pending certifications through the PA Department of Education may be considered with college/university placeholder letter stating completion of a PDE approved school librarian preparation program and evidence of passing scores on certification examinations.
