Student Research Assistant

The Stead Family Department of Pediatrics is hiring a student research assistant in our Hematology and Oncology department!

This undergraduate clinical research position will allow the student to enhance their clinical laboratory skills in a hemostasis focused laboratory.

Job duties may include but are not limited to: screening patients using EPIC, consenting patients during clinics, process and shipping samples, coordinating with clinical team and sponsor, coordination with principle investigator and study coordinators, attend meetings with sponsor as needed, collect and enter data into electronic case report forms, comply with local and central Institutional Board Review (IRB) standards, submit IRB forms as needed, maintain source documentation. 

Knowledge/ability to use computer programs and databases such as Excel, RedCap, RStudio, etc. preferred. 

Attention to detail, interest in clinical research. Experience with IRB-01 research is preferred.

Availability to include Tuesday afternoons, Wednesday mornings, and Friday morning
