Human Resources Coordinator

Samaritan's Purse is seeking a Human Resource Coordinator to join our Human Resources department in North Wilkesboro, NC! You'll provide administrative support to HR Partner Teams and Specialty Groups, establishing strong relationships with HR Managers, Recruiters, and Specialists to ensure excellent candidate and employee experiences. In this role, you'll execute administrative tasks supporting recruiting processes and HR programmatic needs with a high attention to detail and confidentiality. A day in the life of a Human Resources Coordinator: 

At Samaritan's Purse, the Gospel really is the center of all we do!  We start each day with a time of devotions and spend time praying for each other, our staff and volunteers who serve around the globe. 

 

In the role of Human Resources Coordinator, you will have the opportunity to: 

  • Maintain your personal relationship with Jesus Christ and be an effective witness for Him.
  • Complete background checks, social media screens, and drug screens for the corresponding recruiting processes.
  • Prepare and present offer letters and hire documents to candidates under the direction of the Recruiter or Specialist. 
  • Coordinate and facilitate employee onboarding processes, ensuring all required documentation and forms are completed and executed accurately in preparation for employment. 
  • Coordinate and facilitate travel arrangements and processes for on-site interview candidates. 
  • Complete quality checks of processes to ensure employee documents are uploaded correctly. 
  • Answer and respond promptly and graciously to incoming calls and emails from applicants, hiring departments, and Ministry staff. 
  • Support Partner Teams and Specialty Groups with expense reimbursement, invoicing, purchase requests, vendor set up, etc. 
  • Coordinate and facilitate travel arrangements for additional HR programs and supports expense reimbursement process for event attendees. 
  • All other duties as assigned

Qualifications & Experience

  • Associate's degree and at least two (2) years of related human resources, recruiting, or administrative experience; or equivalent combination of training/education and experience.
  • Technical proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, Excel).
  • Exceptional attention to detail with strong organizational and time management skills, including the ability to prioritize daily responsibilities, shift direction, and work effectively under time constraints.
  • Exemplary customer service and communication skills with professional written and verbal communication abilities.
  • General knowledge of Human Resources and federal guidelines for Form I-9 and work authorization.
  • Proven ability to collaborate effectively across all organizational levels and cross-functional teams with a high degree of flexibility and team orientation.
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information and exhibit a high level of discretion.
  • 12 credit hours of college-level Biblical Studies (required); if not already completed, opportunity to meet and complete requirement is available upon hire.

Type: Full-Time 

Language Requirement: Fluency in English (required)

Travel Expectations: Infrequent domestic travel, less than 5%
