SAT/ACT Test Prep Tutors Needed!

As a Test Prep Tutor, you will be instrumental in guiding students through their preparation for standardized tests such as the PSAT, ACT, SAT, GED, GRE, MCAT, and LSAT. This role requires strong core skills in tutoring, teaching, reading comprehension, writing, grammar and math to effectively support students in achieving their academic goals.

Responsibilities

  • Provide individualized or group tutoring sessions for students preparing for standardized tests such as the PSAT, ACT, SAT, GED, GRE, MCAT, and LSAT.
  • Develop and implement tailored lesson plans that address students' specific learning needs and goals.
  • Utilize learning technology and resources to enhance the tutoring experience.
  • Monitor student progress and adjust teaching strategies accordingly.
  • Foster a supportive and engaging learning environment to encourage student participation and confidence.
  • Collaborate with parents and educators to track student development and provide feedback.

Tutoring takes place at the local library, student's home, office location or online.

Qualifications:

  • College degree or current college student
  • 2 years' experience tutoring test preparation for the test you want to tutor
  • Scored in top 5% on the test you want to tutor (ex: SAT - 1440+; ACT - 31+)
  • References related to tutoring
  • Background check
  • Reliable vehicle

*** Current opening for an SAT test prep tutor to teach a 12-hour test prep course to a group of high school students during the school day (between 12-3:15pm) at a local school in Lakewood. The dates are 3/16/2026-3/19/2026.

*** Please note that academic tutoring pays $18-$22/hour. Private test prep pays $25-$28/hour, and group test prep pays $35-$40/hour.
