After School Program Leader
Are you passionate about creating safe, engaging spaces for students to learn, play, and grow?
We’re seeking a Part-Time After School Program Leader to support both elementary and middle school students in AUSD through structured activities, enrichment, and mentorship.
What You'll Do:
- Lead and supervise daily after-school programming for students in grades K–8
- Facilitate enrichment experiences in areas like art, music, STEM, and recreation
- Support students with homework, group projects, and social-emotional learning
- Maintain a safe, inclusive environment and uphold behavior expectations
- Collaborate with site staff and program coordinators to ensure smooth operations

Educational Background Requirements
- High School Completion, and at least one of the following:
- 48 college credits or higher completed, or Pass the District’s instructional Aide or ESSA Exam
Health Clearances
- Negative TB Test Result
Background History Check Clearances
- Live Scan Criminal Background Check ‘Zero Record’ Clearance
- National Sex Offender Database Search ‘Zero Record’ Clearance
- Professional Reference Check ‘Minimum Score’ Clearance
Certifications
- First Aid/CPR Certification
- Mandated Reporter Training Certification
- Sexual Abuse and Harassment Training Certification
- Be able to Stand and Walk around for extended periods of time
- Be able to move safely on irregular and/or uneven terrain on a regular basis, occasional running and other strenuous physical activity.
- Be able to hear, see and communicate verbally without issues and additional aides
- Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception.
- Be able to lift and move a minimum of 30 lbs
- Be able to reach overhead and reach down to the floor without any issues
- Be able to sit on the floor and return to a standing position
- Be able to perform some physical work, such as: kneeling, bending, squatting, lifting, pushing, pulling, or carrying objects.
- Physical work is a primary part of the job (more than 70%) and involves frequent standing and walking.
- Work may involve moderate exposure to unusual elements, such as extreme temperatures, dirt, dust, fumes, smoke, unpleasant odors, and/or loud noises.
- Must have reliable transportation
Schedule:
- Part-time, Monday–Friday
- Elementary Schools: Approx. 2:00–6:00 PM (Tuesdays 12:30–6:00 PM)
- Middle Schools: Approx. 3:00–6:00 PM (Tuesdays 1:00–6:00 PM)
- Occasional evening or weekend shifts available during pre-planned district events

Specialty coaching positions NOW open!! Sports, Dance and Skateboard instructors wanted for elementary and middle school students. Pay for coaching is $20 per hour.
