Social Media & Fundraising Intern

TITLE:                              Social Media and Fundraising Intern

REPORTS TO:                  Development Coordinator

DATE:                              2026 Summer Internship

SALARY GRADE:             $75 a week (travel stipend)

LOCATION:                     On-Site

REQUIRED HOURS:      Part-time available

 

OVERVIEW:

Pitch In For Baseball & Softball is a leading nonprofit organization dedicated to providing underprivileged youth the opportunity to play baseball and softball. We are seeking a talented and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Social Media and Fundraising Intern. SPECIFIC DUTIES: 

Social Media: 

  • Assist in the creation and editing of written, video, photo, and/or digital content
  • Research audience preferences and discover current trends
  • Collaborate with both internal and external team on developing a social media calendar
  • Create newsletter and email communications (monthly and as needed)
  • Assist with developing collateral pieces and advertisements
  • Other general administrative tasks as assigned

Fundraising:

  • Research potential fundraising opportunities – grants/foundations, corporations, in-kind giving programs, sponsorships, MLB clubs.
  • Event support activities – coordination, communications, setup, breakdown, etc.
  • Data entry (when necessary)
  • Other development related tasks as assigned

EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE, AND SKILLS: 

  • Ability to juggle multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining high-quality standards 
  • Ability to work independently with little supervision 
  • Excellent interpersonal skills 
  • Proficient in Canva (or another digital editing platform) 
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office
  • Passion for social media and proficiency with major social media platforms
  • Ability to understand trends in content and social media
