Position Overview:
Birch Agency is seeking a compassionate and dedicated School Social Worker for the 2026–2027 school year. This is a full-time, in-person, school-based position located near Joliet, Illinois. The School Social Worker will support students’ social, emotional, and behavioral well-being to help them succeed academically and personally.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide individual and group counseling services to students
- Conduct social-emotional and behavioral assessments
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to support student needs
- Participate in IEP and 504 plan meetings
- Connect students and families with community resources
- Maintain accurate documentation and case notes
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Social Work (MSW)
- Active Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with School Social Worker endorsement
- Previous school-based experience preferred
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills
Compensation:
- Competitive hourly pay ranging from $50 to $60 per hour, based on experience
