Position Overview:
Birch Agency is seeking a dedicated and passionate Special Education Teacher for the 2026–2027 school year. This is a full-time, in-person position located near Joliet, Illinois. The ideal candidate will be committed to supporting students with diverse learning needs and creating a structured, inclusive classroom environment that promotes academic and social growth.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs)
• Provide direct instruction tailored to students’ academic and behavioral needs
• Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families
• Monitor student progress and maintain accurate documentation
• Foster a positive, supportive classroom environment

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Special Education or related field
• Active Illinois teaching license with Special Education endorsement
• Previous experience working with students with diverse learning needs preferred
• Strong classroom management and communication skills

Compensation:

• Competitive hourly pay ranging from $45 to $55 per hour, based on experience
