S.A.F.E. Afterschool Coordinator/Instructional Aide

Job Summary

SAFE Afterschool Coordinator/Instructional Aide This posting is for a dual-role position that combines instructional aide work and SAFE coordinator responsibilities. Instructional aide duties include assisting teachers in classrooms, supporting students on assignments, making copies, supervising students in class, recess duty, and other duties as assigned. SAFE Coordinator duties include being responsible for the overall organization, implementation, and supervision of the school’s after school program at Grenada Elementary. This position plans and oversees daily operations, supports and supervises program staff, works directly with students, compiles reports for the County Office of Ed, and ensures that students are engaged in meaningful academic and enrichment activities in a safe and structured environment. 

PROGRAM OVERVIEW 

Grenada's S.A.F.E. (Siskiyou After School for Everyone) Program is funded through the CDE in partnership with the Siskiyou County Office of Education. The program provides extended learning opportunities that support student success in a variety of ways. 

Program goals include improving student achievement, increasing attendance, promoting positive behavior, and supporting the overall well-being of students. 

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES 

-Coordinate and implement daily after school programming aligned with grant requirements 

-Supervise, train, and support after school staff and student helpers 

-Plan and manage student schedules, activities, and enrichment opportunities 

-Monitor student attendance and maintain accurate program records -Support academic intervention and structured learning activities 

-Ensure a safe, organized, and positive environment for all students 

-Communicate effectively with school staff, families, and program partners 

-Oversee setup, cleanup, and care of facilities, equipment, and supplies -Follow and enforce school rules and procedures
