Duties

  • Design and implement comprehensive lesson plans aligned with early childhood education standards, including literacy, math, physical education, and Montessori methods
  • Lead daily classroom activities that promote social-emotional development, behavior management, and positive interactions among children
  • Develop and adapt curriculum to meet the individual needs of children, including those requiring special education or early intervention services
  • Oversee classroom management to create a safe, organized environment conducive to active learning and child welfare
  • Collaborate with parents and guardians through regular communication about children’s progress and developmental milestones
  • Supervise and mentor assistant teachers and childcare staff to ensure high-quality educational practices
  • Conduct assessments using standardized testing methods to monitor progress and inform instructional strategies
  • Incorporate diverse teaching techniques such as tutoring, physical education, and literacy education to support holistic development
  • Maintain detailed records of lesson plans, child observations, behavior reports, and other documentation required for compliance and program evaluation

Experience

  • Prior classroom experience in preschool or early childhood education settings is essential
  • Demonstrated expertise in curriculum development across multiple domains including literacy, math, physical education, and special education
  • Experience working with children with diverse needs, including those requiring early intervention or special accommodations
  • Knowledge of childhood development principles and best practices in behavior management and classroom management strategies
  • Strong communication skills to effectively engage with children, parents, colleagues, and community partners
  • Previous private school or daycare experience is advantageous but not mandatory
  • Certification in early childhood education or related fields is preferred; ongoing professional development is encouraged
