Why St. Johns County / Why Move Here?
Quality of Life & Location
St. Johns County sits along Florida’s northeast Atlantic coast, known for its historic charm and coastal beauty. The city of St. Augustine—the nation’s oldest continuously inhabited city—anchors the area with a lively mix of culture, beaches, and outdoor activities. Residents enjoy a mild year‑round climate, family-friendly neighborhoods, and convenient proximity to Jacksonville for additional amenities and career options.
High-Performing School District with Meaningful Impact
St. Johns County School District is consistently ranked among Florida’s top districts, serving over 50,000 students across more than 45 schools. Continued population growth is driving new school construction and expanding programs in STEM, arts, and career readiness—offering professionals the chance to shape innovative learning environments and student success initiatives.
Community-Oriented & Balanced Lifestyle
The county blends small‑town warmth with suburban convenience. Schools maintain strong ties with local organizations and families, fostering a close-knit, collaborative atmosphere. Compared to larger metro areas, educators and therapists here often enjoy a slower pace, greater community interaction, and opportunities to implement creative approaches within their schools.
Professional Growth & Collaborative Support
Through CTC, you’ll connect with a network of experienced school-based therapy professionals throughout the region. The district’s focus on innovation and inclusion means you may help design specialized programs in areas such as assistive technology, social-emotional development, or mobility strategies—supported by mentorship and professional development resources.
