Business Development Coordinator (Part-Time/Paid Intern)
Job Title: Business Development & Partnerships Coordinator
Company: VenturePR
Location: Beverly Hills, CA (Remote — based in Orange County preferred)
Job Type: Part-Time / Internship
Pay: $22-25/hour, 15-20 hours/week
About VenturePR: VenturePR is a Beverly Hills-based boutique communications agency specializing in PR for funded startups and consumer technology brands. We work with AI companies, SaaS platforms, consumer electronics brands, and Series A and B companies across the US and internationally. We're a small, high-performing team with big-name clients and a founder who has built and exited multiple companies including a $3.75M ARR exit and 11 years at IBM.
The Role: We're looking for a sharp, self-directed part-time coordinator to help drive business development and relationship outreach for the agency. This is not a cold-calling job. It's a research, relationship, and coordination role — helping us stay connected with past clients, warm prospects, VC contacts, and potential partners in a systematic and thoughtful way.
You'll work closely with the founder and will be given real responsibility from day one. If you're great at this, there is a path to a full-time role.
What You'll Do:
- Research and prepare briefing notes before relationship calls with VCs, founders, and industry contacts
- Draft outreach messages and follow-up notes on behalf of the founder for warm relationship conversations
- Track and maintain our relationship pipeline in HubSpot CRM
- Coordinate scheduling and follow-through across multiple outreach tracks simultaneously
- Support instructor and partnership outreach for a new AI platform we're building alongside the agency
- Monitor LinkedIn for relevant conversations, funding announcements, and engagement opportunities
- Occasional research projects on prospective clients, competitive landscape, and market trends
Who You Are:
- Strong writer — you can draft a professional, warm, specific outreach message without being told exactly what to say
- Self-directed — you don't need to be micromanaged to get things done
- Genuinely curious about technology, startups, and business
- Comfortable working remotely and communicating asynchronously across time zones
- Interested in communications, PR, business development, or venture capital as a career path
- Bonus: Experience or interest in AI, consumer technology, or early-stage startups
What You'll Get:
- $22-25/hour depending on experience, 15-20 hours/week
- Title: Director of Strategic Partnerships (this is real — you'll use it in outreach and on your LinkedIn)
- Direct access to a founder with multiple company exits and deep experience in enterprise tech, PR, and AI
- Exposure to VC relationships, funded startup clients, and the communications industry
- Flexible hours — we care about output, not when you work
- Potential to grow into a full-time role if the fit is right
To Apply: Send a brief note — not a formal cover letter — telling us why this specific role interests you and one example of a time you managed a relationship or communication process that required initiative and follow-through. Include your resume and linkedin profile.
