Who We Are
Hide and Seek Preschool LLC in Hammond, IN, is looking for a Director to join our strong team!

Responsibilities

· Sets short- and long-term goals for teaching staff.

· Keeps accurate files on employees, children, and activities.

· Conduct interviews and reviews all new staff's qualifications before hiring the most qualified applicants for teaching, administrative, or support staff positions.

· Manages the work schedules of teaching and administrative staff.

· Supervises and leads teaching and administrative staff as they adhere to company standards.

· Provides feedback for staff on their performance in the classroom.

· Orders and purchases teaching materials, including toys, videos, books, educational aids, cleaning supplies, food, and first aid supplies.

· Organizes monthly schedules for special events and holidays.

· Meets with teachers and parents to keep parents up to date on their child’s progress and development.

· Works with teaching staff to find ways to address any behavioral or learning problems.

· Ensures that the facility and staff adhere to all state and local regulations.

Qualifications

(a) The director shall be a minimum of twenty-one (21) years of age.

(b) The director shall meet one (1) of the following minimum education and experience qualifications:

(1) A bachelor of arts or bachelor of science degree from an accredited college or university in early childhood education or elementary education with a kindergarten endorsement and grades of C or better.

(2) Any bachelor of arts or bachelor of science degree from an accredited college or university must include one (1) of the following: (A) Fifteen (15) credit hours in college-level courses with documented content relating to the needs, skills, development, or teaching methods of children six (6) years of age or younger and grades of C or better. (B) A CDA. NOTE: If a director has any of the certificates/credentials listed below instead of a CDA it will be an approved equivalent; Certified Childcare Professional (CCP) Preschool Associates Credential (PAC) Administrators Certificate approved by the Division

(3) A two (2) year associate’s degree in early childhood education from an accredited college or university, with a grade of C or better and a minimum of three (3) years of experience in an early childhood program.

Mon-Fri,8-hour day shift. Compensation depends on your experience.
