Camp Teaching Assistant

MyCocoz Camp is a proprietary 4-day AI literacy program for kids ages 8–12. Over 8 hours of facilitated workshops, every camper learns how to use AI prompting skills to write, illustrate, and produce their own story — finishing the week as a published author with a real printed book they made themselves.

We have a fully designed, day-by-day curriculum and app, you'll be trained before your first session. No prior AI experience required.

The Role You'll work directly alongside Raj Oswal, MyCocoz founder and lead facilitator, as a teaching assistant and co-facilitator for our proprietary 4-day AI literacy camp. This is a hands-on role — you'll be in the room, supporting campers, helping run activities, and learning the curriculum from the inside.

In addition to the 5 camp sessions, there are optional 90-minute co-facilitation workshops available throughout the summer for those who want additional hours and experience.

What You'll Do

  • Co-facilitate our proprietary 4-day curriculum (2 hrs/day) for groups of 8–12 year olds
  • Guide campers through AI prompting, storytelling, illustration, and book production
  • Run the Prompt Challenge Game and group activities as designed in our facilitator guide
  • Support individual campers as they develop their prompting skills
  • Assist with setup, pacing, and wrap-up each session

You're a great fit if you:

  • Love working with kids and have some experience doing it
  • Are genuinely curious about AI and creative technology
  • Study Education, Child Development, Cognitive Science, Computer Science, or a related field
  • Are available for at least 3 of 5 sessions this summer (June–August, throughout San Diego, CA)
  • Bring enthusiasm and can roll with the unexpected

Why Apply

  • Full training provided, you'll know the curriculum inside and out before day one
  • Work directly with the founder of a first-of-its-kind AI literacy program for kids
  • Hands-on experience at the intersection of AI, education, and publishing
  • Optional additional workshop hours available for those who want more experience
  • Small team, big impact

Compensation $840 summer stipend ($21/hr · 40 hours total across 5 sessions). Stipend is all-inclusive — no additional reimbursement for travel or expenses.
