Data Engineering Intern – Summer 2026

About Us

OCBridge is an AI-powered recruiting firm based in Silicon Valley.

We help high-growth tech companies and AI startups hire interview-ready candidates at scale by combining proprietary talent data, AI-powered sourcing, and human-in-the-loop execution.

We’ve supported companies like TikTok, Nvidia, and 100+ AI startups on critical hires across engineering and GTM roles. We’re now building Hiring Copilot — a new AI-native hiring architecture that delivers qualified, interview-ready candidates at high efficiency and low cost.

This is still early. We’re lean, we move fast, and we care about outcomes.

The Role

We're looking for a self-driven engineering intern to maintain the automation infrastructure behind our recruitment operations. This isn't a "shadow the team" internship. You'll have real ownership of production systems and be the person we call when something breaks.

What You'll Do

  • Maintain and improve automated sourcing scripts that touch LinkedIn, candidate databases, and outreach sequences
  • Adapt quickly when third-party tools (APIs, platforms, automation services) change behavior or break unexpectedly
  • Identify failure points in automation flows and implement fixes using (vibe) coding
  • Collaborate directly with the founding team to scope and prioritize automation improvements as the product evolves
  • Support the build-out of new automation features as Hiring Copilot expands its product surface
  • Document what you build so the system is maintainable long-term

What We're Looking For

  • Currently pursuing a BS/MS in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Science or a related field
  • Required Bilingual in English and Chinese (Mandarin)
  • Proficiency in Python; Experience with Django or similar Python web frameworks; comfortable reading and debugging unfamiliar codebases
  • Experience building or maintaining automation workflows (APIs, webhooks, data pipelines)
  • Scrappy and resourceful: you don't wait for perfect documentation or a clean handoff. You dig in, figure it out, and ship a fix
  • On-call mindset: production issues don't wait. When something breaks, you respond within the hour, not the next day.
  • Familiarity with tools like Claude Code/Codex, Lark, N8N, or similar is a plus
  • High integrity and discretion: you'll handle sensitive data

Logistics

  • At least onsite in San Jose 1 day every 1/2 weeks; otherwise remote
  • Strong performers will be considered for a paid full-time role with H1B/OPT sponsorship

Why Join

  • Hands-on ownership of a real production system from week one
  • Direct mentorship from the founding team
  • Clear path to full-time employment and visa sponsorship for the right person
  • Front-row seat to how an AI-native recruiting company is built
