THRIVE Community School is a growing public charter school in Santa Fe, founded in 2022 as the city’s first intentionally diverse school. We are expanding to serve 633 students in grades K–8 and are building a team that is deeply committed to equity, community, and excellent instruction.

About the Role
We are hiring a Lead Special Education Teacher to support students in our Intensive Learning Community classroom. This role is ideal for educators who are passionate about inclusive education and making a meaningful impact on students with diverse learning needs.
You’ll provide individualized instruction, lead IEP implementation, and collaborate closely with families, staff, and service providers to ensure each student thrives academically and socially.
What You’ll Do
- Deliver individualized, data-driven instruction aligned to IEP goals
- Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs
- Create a structured, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment
- Collaborate with general education teachers and service providers
- Partner with families through regular communication and conferences
- Lead and support paraprofessionals
- Track and analyze student progress to inform instruction

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree
- New Mexico Special Education teaching license (or eligibility)
- Authorization to work in the U.S.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in special education or underserved communities
- Knowledge of the Science of Reading or NM standards
- Bilingual (Spanish/English) or TESOL certification
- Experience with social-emotional learning and data-driven instruction
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary based on licensure and experience:
- Level 1: $56,800+
- Level 2: $68,150+
- Level 3: $79,625+
