About Knoxville Academy of Music

Knoxville Academy of Music is one of East Tennessee's largest and most established private music schools, serving over 300 students of all ages and skill levels from our studio in Farragut. We're growing — and we're looking for talented musicians to join our instructor team as independent contractors.

If you're a music student or recent grad who loves teaching, we'd love to hear from you.

What You'll Do

• Teach private, one-on-one music lessons to students ranging from beginners to more advanced players
• Deliver engaging, personalized instruction at your own pace and in your own style
• Show up consistently for your scheduled students — reliability is the most important thing we ask for

What We're Looking For

• Proficiency on your instrument with the ability to teach students of varying ages and skill levels
• Studying music or recently graduated — formal music training or equivalent performance background preferred
• Strong communication skills and a genuine enjoyment of working with people
• Reliable, organized, and committed to your students

Teaching experience is a plus but not required for strong musicians.
