Engineering Intern (ENG046)

Summary
PER is searching for an Engineering Intern for the summer of 2026. This is a temporary position from May to August working 20-40 hours per6week. The Engineering Intern will assist in preparing and analyzing, plans, specifications, tests, and products under general supervision.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Research, mechanical design, warhead design, development and test, and system performance. 
  • Utilize skills in material properties, aerodynamics, and computer modeling and simulations.
  • Use software tools such as SolidWorks, CTH, ALE3D, and CREO to build and evaluate design concepts and support additive manufacturing of components to evaluate fit and function.
  • Opportunities to develop software code to support analysis and test evaluation of components and systems.

Education and Other Requirements

  • Must be at least a junior in good standing pursuing an engineering degree.
  • Must be a US citizen. 
  • Must pass a background check and drug test.

Desired Qualifications

  • Practical knowledge of basic engineering practices.
  • Experience with Python or C++
  • Hands on experience with additive manufacturing methods
