Certified Educators (Multiple Positions) - 4 Day School Week

Location: Orofino & Peck, ID

Salary: $50,252 - $78,437 per year (Based on 2025-2026 Certified Salary Schedule)

Job Type: Full-time, Contract (174 Days)

About the District

Orofino Joint School District 171 is seeking dedicated, student-centered certified professionals to join our team for the 2026-2027 school year. We pride ourselves on a supportive community atmosphere and a four-day school week schedule that promotes a healthy work-life balance for our staff.

Current Certified Openings

We are currently accepting applications for the following certified roles:

  • Secondary Math Teacher (Grades 7-12): Orofino Jr/Sr High School
  • CTE Teacher (Business, Marketing, Engineering & Technology): Orofino Jr/Sr High School
  • Elementary Head Teacher: Peck Elementary School
  • 5th Grade Teacher: Orofino Elementary School
  • Elementary Counselor: Orofino Elementary School
  • Occupational Therapist: District-wide

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality instruction or specialized services tailored to student needs and Idaho Core Standards.
  • Foster a positive, rigorous, and safe learning environment.
  • Collaborate with staff, parents, and administration to support student academic and social growth.
  • Maintain accurate student records and confidentiality in compliance with district policy.
  • Integrate technology effectively into daily instruction or service delivery.

Qualifications

  • Valid Idaho Teaching Certificate with appropriate endorsement(s) for the position.
  • Strong background in teaching methods and effective classroom management.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to pass a criminal background check and drug screening.
  • For Specialists (SLP/OT/Counselor): Must hold appropriate Idaho professional licensure/Pupil Personnel Services endorsement.
