Description:
- Primarily daylight hours, but hours will vary based on need. Weekend and evening call will be necessary on a rotating basis.
- Working under the supervision of the attending physician neurophysiologist, the neuromonitoring tech performs a battery of exams primarily in the operating room, and occasionally in diagnostic lab, ICU, and EMU settings. Exams include multiple modalities of sensory and motor evoked potentials, EMG, and EEG. Optimal candidates will possess a baseline understanding of neuroanatomy and physiology.
- Clinical services are provided at multiple sites in southwestern Pennsylvania.
- Employees must pass the Certification in Neurophysiological Intraoperative Monitoring (CNIM) exam within 18 months of the first day of employment.
Qualifications:
- Candidates should possess, at minimum, a bachelor’s degree with a concentration in a natural science.
- Clinical experience preferred, but not required.
- Customer service experience preferred, but not required.
- Candidates should live in, or be willing to relocate to, the greater Pittsburgh, PA area.
License/Certification:
- Driver's License (Required)
- Pass 11 panel drug screening
- DOJ sex offender database check
- PA and FBI clearances
Compensation:
- $46,000/year upon hiring
- $56,000 after successful passing of CNIM Examination
