Reports to: Sports Editor
 

Description: Write weekly sports articles according to respective editor’s specifications. 
 

Duties and Responsibilities: 
 

• Accept story assignments from editor
• Write staff column in regular rotation
• Attend events, interview sources, take photos and write 1+ articles/week
• Meet deadlines, word count and other tasks assigned by editor
• Respond to and communicate with editor in a timely manner
• Be familiar with AP style and article format
• Attend weekly budget, critique and editorial meeting(s)

This position is 5 hours/week and paid $13.73/hour.
