Infant Assistant Teacher

Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Infant Assistant Teacher to join our vibrant early childhood education team. In this role, you will support the lead teacher in creating a nurturing, safe, and stimulating environment for infants. Duties

  • Assist in implementing daily routines that promote infant development, including feeding, diapering, and nap times
  • Support classroom activities designed to encourage sensory exploration, language development, and social-emotional growth
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized classroom environment following health and safety protocols
  • Observe and document individual progress and behaviors to inform teaching strategies and communicate with parents or guardians as needed
  • Support the lead teacher in managing classroom behavior through positive reinforcement and gentle guidance
  • Participate in ongoing training related to childhood development, first aid, special education needs, and caregiving best practices
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure all children receive attentive care tailored to their unique needs

Requirements

  • Prior experience working with infants in daycare, preschool, babysitting, nannying, or similar settings
  • Knowledge of childhood development principles and age-appropriate activities for infants
  • Certification or training in first aid and CPR (or willingness to obtain upon hire)
  • Experience working with children with disabilities or special needs is a plus
  • Strong communication skills for engaging with children, parents, and team members effectively
  • Ability to manage classroom routines with patience, compassion, and professionalism
  • Demonstrated commitment to creating a safe and nurturing environment for young children
