Hospitality and Guest Experience Intern

Position Overview

SCN is seeking a Hospitality & Guest Experience Intern to help design, manage, and elevate the attendee experience across our business events, networking activations, and conferences.

This role is ideal for students pursuing degrees in Hospitality Management, Tourism, Event Management, or Customer Experience who want real-world, hands-on experience in event hospitality, guest services, and experience design.

Key Responsibilities

Guest Experience & Engagement

  • Serve as a point of contact for attendees, ensuring a welcoming and professional environment
  • Assist with guest check-in, registration, and attendee flow
  • Support VIP guest coordination and hospitality services
  • Help create a seamless and memorable experience from arrival to departure

Event Hospitality Operations

  • Coordinate with venues, caterers, and service providers
  • Assist in managing event layouts, seating, and ambiance
  • Support food & beverage coordination and presentation
  • Ensure hospitality standards are maintained throughout events

Experience Design & Execution

  • Contribute ideas to enhance guest engagement and satisfaction
  • Assist in creating run-of-show and hospitality timelines
  • Support themed experiences and branded event environments
  • Help gather attendee feedback to improve future events

Administrative & Planning Support

  • Assist with event preparation and logistics
  • Support communication with attendees before and after events
  • Help track attendance, guest preferences, and engagement insights

Ideal Candidate

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Hospitality Management, Tourism, Event Planning, or related field
  • Strong interpersonal and customer service skills

  • Able to work in fast-paced, live event environments
  • Professional demeanor with a passion for creating great experiences

Bonus Skills (Not Required)

  • Previous hospitality or customer service experience
  • Event planning or coordination experience
  • Interest in entrepreneurship and business networking
  • Experience with event tools, guest lists, or CRM platforms
