Graphic Designer – Multimedia Team (A Free Bird)

Position Overview
A Free Bird is seeking a creative and detail-oriented Volunteer Graphic Designer to support the Multimedia team. This role focuses on designing and producing high-quality visual content that aligns with the organization’s mission and branding. The Graphic Designer will collaborate closely with Multimedia Managers and the Founder to bring ideas to life and create impactful visual assets across digital and print platforms.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and create graphics to support multimedia initiatives, including logos, social media content, and marketing materials
• Collaborate with Multimedia Managers and leadership to achieve desired artistic and visual outcomes
• Assist with ongoing multimedia projects and contribute creative ideas to enhance visual storytelling
• Develop layouts, comps, and web graphics using Adobe Photoshop
• Create vector-based designs, print-ready files, and marketing assets using Adobe Illustrator
• Produce catalogs, presentations, and other formatted materials using Adobe InDesign
• Ensure consistency with organizational branding across all visual outputs
• Maintain and update internal design assets and databases as needed
• Support administrative tasks such as scheduling meetings and responding to emails when required

Qualifications

• Experience with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign)
• Strong understanding of graphic design principles, typography, and layout
• Ability to translate concepts into visually engaging designs
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a collaborative environment
• Effective communication and teamwork skills

Preferred Qualifications

• 1 or more years of experience designing for nonprofits, marketing campaigns, or social media
• Familiarity with branding and visual identity development
• Basic knowledge of web design or digital media is a plus
