PLANET.TECH is a venture-backed climate technology startup developing wearable methane capture devices for dairy cattle. We convert cow burps — the single largest source of agricultural methane — into renewable natural gas and sustainable aviation fuel. Our mission: prevent 14% of global methane emissions while creating new revenue streams for farmers.

Business Operations Intern

Overview
PLANET.TECH is developing wearable methane capture devices for dairy cattle that convert cow burps into renewable natural gas and sustainable aviation fuel. We’re a 10-person team that just crossed commercial viability, with 35 California dairy LOIs and a Texas A&M pilot launching Q1 2026. As our Business Operations Intern, you’ll work directly with the CEO on investor relations, pipeline management, and the operational systems that keep a fast-moving startup running.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and update investor CRM pipeline in HubSpot (72+ contacts across multiple deal stages)
- Draft and send investor follow-up emails, meeting confirmations, and outreach sequences
- Research prospective investors (angels, VCs, family offices) and build target lists
- Prepare materials for investor meetings: one-pagers, data room updates, traction summaries
- Track grant deadlines and assist with grant application materials
- Coordinate meeting scheduling and maintain the CEO’s investor calendar
- Support operational projects: vendor research, competitive analysis, market sizing
- Assist with pitch deck updates and presentation materials
Qualifications
- Currently pursuing a degree in Business, Finance, Entrepreneurship, or related field at UT Austin (McCombs) or Texas A&M (Mays)
- Strong written communication skills — you’ll be drafting emails that go to real investors
- Comfortable with CRM tools (HubSpot experience a plus) and spreadsheets
- Self-starter who can own tasks with minimal direction
- Interest in startups, climate tech, or agricultural technology
- Detail-oriented and reliable — follow-through matters more than pedigree
Bonus Qualifications
- Experience with HubSpot, Notion, or similar project management tools
- Prior internship or involvement with startups or venture capital
- Familiarity with SAFE notes, cap tables, or startup fundraising mechanics
- Interest in clean energy, sustainability, or agricultural economics
