Job Description
Community Christian School in Pease, Minnesota, is seeking a full-time 4th Grade Teacher for the 2026–2027 school year. CCS serves students from age 3 through 8th Grade and has faithfully met a vital need in our community for 112 years by providing an education rooted in eternal purpose. The Elementary Teacher should demonstrate a deep love for Scripture and a clear understanding of how to apply biblical truth in the lives of students. This role requires a genuine passion for teaching and guiding students in their spiritual, academic, and social development. The ideal candidate is a Christian who enthusiastically supports Community Christian School’s statement of faith and mission.


Primary Responsibilities

  • Cultivate a Christ-centered classroom that promotes student engagement, inspires curiosity, and encourages each student’s academic and spiritual growth.
  • Maintain high expectations for student achievement by delivering standards-based instruction with clear learning goals, helping students understand both what they are learning and why it matters.
  • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans and curriculum that support developmental goals and foster critical thinking.
  • Assess student progress through a variety of methods; provide timely, constructive feedback to students and clear communication to parents.
  • Create a structured, well-managed classroom environment that maximizes instructional time and supports positive student behavior in alignment with school expectations.
  • Build strong, respectful relationships with students, families, and colleagues through consistent and open communication.
  • Partner with staff and administration to support a unified school mission and contribute to a collaborative team environment.
  • Foster a safe, positive, and nurturing classroom where students feel known, valued, and encouraged to grow both academically and in their faith.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned in support of the school’s mission.
  • Experience helping students find their place in God’s story using the Teaching for Transformation framework will be given additional consideration.

Education, Qualifications, and Experience

  • A committed follower of Jesus Christ who demonstrates a consistent Christian testimony
  • Bachelor’s degree (B.A. or B.S.) in Early Childhood Education or a related field
  • Current teaching license
  • Demonstrated ability to create a nurturing, structured, and engaging classroom environment
  • Strong classroom management skills rooted in grace, consistency, and clear expectations
  • Ability to build authentic, caring relationships with students and families
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a heart for serving students, families, and the school community
  • Willingness to grow professionally and implement research-based instructional practices


Compensation:  
Salary base is $35,000 with upward steps commensurate with education and experience. Employee health insurance is offered, 403(b) 3% match from the employer, and additional benefits are included with the position.
