Product Intern - AI & Innovation

The Product Intern – AI & Innovation is part of the Sales and Business Services department, which resides on the Product Management team and reports to the Vice President of Product Management. As our Product Intern you will be focused on AI & Innovation. You'll roll up your sleeves and help us explore how artificial intelligence can fundamentally change the way we ideate, build, and test our products — making our team faster and smarter.

If you're excited about AI, passionate about building great products, and interested in how cybersecurity intersects with both, this is the role for you.

What You'll Do:

  • Research and evaluate AI tools and techniques that can accelerate product ideation (e.g., generative AI for brainstorming, user story creation, and requirements gathering)
  • Partner with product managers to prototype and test AI-assisted workflows that improve team efficiency
  • Support testing efforts by identifying ways AI can enhance test case generation, coverage, and analysis
  • Document findings, present recommendations, and contribute to the team's AI adoption roadmap
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, design, and security teams to validate ideas
  • Other tasks and responsibilities as assigned

What You'll Need:

  • Currently enrolled in an undergraduate program (any year welcome) in Computer Science, Information Systems, Product Design, Business, or a related field
  • Genuine interest in AI/ML and hands-on experience with AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Copilot, Gemini, or similar)
  • Strong curiosity about product management and how products are built
  • Excellent communication skills — you can translate technical ideas for non-technical audiences
  • Self-starter mentality with a bias toward action and ownership
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States

It's a Plus if You Have:

  • Familiarity with product management frameworks (user stories, roadmaps, prioritization)
  • Interest in or experience with programming and application development (any language or platform)
  • Exposure to Lean thinking principles — you understand how to eliminate waste, run quick experiments, and iterate toward value
  • Interest in cybersecurity or prior exposure to the field
  • Experience with tools like Jira, Figma, Notion, or similar
  • Any coursework or projects involving machine learning, NLP, or data analysis

At CIS, we are committed to providing an inclusive environment in which the diverse backgrounds, experiences, and views of our employees, members, and customers are valued and respected. It is through this commitment that we are able to work together towards our common mission: to make the connected world a safer place.

Compensation Range:

USD$20.00 - $25.00
