Digital Marketing Assistant: Spring/Summer 2026
Position Overview
- We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Website Marketing Assistant to support our digital marketing efforts. This part-time role focuses primarily on managing and optimizing our online presence, with an emphasis on Google Business Profile (GBP) claiming, updating, maintenance, and visual content creation.
Responsibilities
- Create and update a spreadsheet of HFS owned Google Business Profiles. Share the spreadsheet with stakeholders. [LB2.1]
- Claim and verify Google Business Profiles across multiple locations.
- Update and maintain accurate business information, including hours, contact details, photos, and service descriptions within Google environment.
- Capture and upload photos and short-form videos that meet Google Business Profile content guidelines and best practices.
- Monitor customer reviews on Google Business Profiles and draft responses for HFS stakeholders to approve.
- Identify and resolve duplicate or incorrect listings.
- Track profile performance using Google Business insights and reporting tools.
- Support broader website and digital marketing tasks as needed.

Qualifications
- Familiarity with Google Business Profile or similar platforms (Google My Business experience a plus).
- Ability to shoot high-quality photos and videos using a personal smartphone or device, meeting Google's recommended specifications:
? Video: minimum 720p resolution, well-lit, stabilized, and under 30 seconds
? Photos: clear, in-focus, and accurately representing the business
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Basic understanding of SEO and digital marketing principles.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office or Google Workspace.
- Experience with website content management systems (CMS) as a plus.

Details
- Part-time, flexible hours.
- Work primarily from HFS Central Office in Terry Hall on UW Seattle Campus with some travel across campus to various HFS facilities.
- Ideal for a UW undergrad or graduate student looking to build digital marketing experience.
- Must be able to walk around campus to capture required assets.
- Pay rate: $22.85/hour
