Clinical Coordinator Supervisor

What you’ll do:

This is a great opportunity for a Clinical Coordinator - Supervisor to join our Crisis team. As a Clinical Coordinator - Supervisor, you will assure the quality of services to clients, coordinating day to day operations of the program and recommending and implementing changes to improve the delivery of services. Provide direct service counseling, on-going counseling, prevention services and education services to adults, families and youth. This role will directly supervise clinical staff. 

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Assist manager with administrative and/or clinical supervision of staff and interns. Staff supervised may include Recovery Technicians, Substance Abuse Therapists, Substance Abuse Specialists, Rehabilitation Specialists, Peer Support Specialists, and Clinical Service Liaisons as assigned.
  • Evaluate staff and intern performance. Make recommendations to the Manager on personnel and staffing needs, as well as on changes that would improve service delivery. Provide instruction and training for staff, interns, and contract staff, in his/her respective discipline, as opportunities permit or as assigned by the Manager.
  • Direct the overall productivity of the program and monitor individual staff, contractor, and intern performance to meet productivity standards. Provide clinical services as determined by program need. For Coordinators who are also Master’s Level Therapists, those clinical services could include psychotherapy for the purpose of assessment, diagnosis, and treatment.
  • Ensure quality service delivery by staff supervised, including clinical care and all associated duties. Monitor client records for all staff supervised to ensure current status and compliance with agency policies and procedures, as well as health plan, state, and federal requirements. Participate in the agency's Quality Management Program, as needed, or requested.
  • Produce complete, timely, thorough, quality clinical documentation of all services rendered, both billable and non-billable, as required. Monitor and oversee clinical documentation/billing done by all staff supervised. All documentation must include sufficient information about the activity being documented and the client’s participation in, and response to, the activity.
  • Work independently and responsibly, and participate in the development, implementation, and evaluation of treatment programs. Develop, implement, and maintain at least one clearly defined program area.
  • Direct the day-to-day operations of the program; schedule meetings, services, and staff time; and schedule, facilitate, and document weekly supervision with staff. Address any concerns promptly and clearly. Provide or arrange coverage for positions supervised as needed.
  • Provide and deliver at least 40 hours of work per week. Work beyond scheduled work hours to complete required paperwork or to complete crisis stabilization tasks. Some evening hours may be required. This position may provide periodic on-call supervisor rotation for residential programs if assigned, involving 24-hour availability.
  • Participate in all regularly scheduled administrative, in-service, and staff meetings.
  • Develop and maintain effective working relationships with state, community, and contracting organizations, and with collaborating partners.
  • Attend meetings, training, and agency activities and events outside of regularly scheduled work hours upon request.

     Education and Experience:

  • Master’s Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy, Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or directly related field REQUIRED.
  • Licensure/Certification REQUIRED.

What you'll experience:

  • The typical work environment will be at an EMPACT office, working indoors.
  • Employees must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at times.
  • If driving while on agency time or on agency business, a valid Arizona driver license and appropriate liability insurance and approval for liability coverage with EMPACT - SPC’s liability insurance carrier is required.
  • Provide and deliver at least 40 hours of work per week. Work beyond scheduled work hours to complete required paperwork or to complete crisis stabilization tasks. Some evening hours may be required. This position may provide periodic on-call supervisor rotation for residential programs if assigned, involving 24-hour availability.
  • Occasional travel to training and out-of-state locations may occur as-need.
  • Possibility to work from home may be available and will follow the guidelines of EMPACT’s Telecommuting Policy.
