UX/UI Design Intern
youbloom is a live events platform helping artists, venues, and promoters grow audiences for music, comedy, theatre, and more. We are seeking a UX/UI Design Intern passionate about user-centered design and digital experiences.
Primary Function:
This UX/UI Design Intern supports the development of digital product experiences for a live events platform, contributing to user-centered design, research, and interface development across web and mobile features.
In this role, interns will work with our Product, UX, and Engineering teams to design web and mobile platform features, conduct user research, map and analyze user journeys, identify UX issues, support front-end developers and graphic designers, and contribute to visual design across key product areas. Example projects include fan onboarding flows, artist/venue profile systems, event discovery and RSVP interfaces, and social sharing features.
Qualifications:
Applicants should have a solid understanding of UX/UI principles, familiarity with design tools such as Figma, Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, or Canva, strong visual communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently in a remote, collaborative environment. Interest in live events, music, or cultural experiences is a plus. Backgrounds in Graphic Design, Interaction Design, Human–Computer Interaction, Product Design, or related fields are preferred.
As part of the application, candidates will complete UX Thinking (how a creator decides to create an event), a UI task (designing a simple Event Creator Dashboard including event name, demand, ticket sales, and event health), and Product Thinking (features supporting fans who promote events). Submissions may be shared via Figma, Canva, or Google Drive, focusing on clarity and structure rather than visual polish.
This is a remote, part-time internship (20 hours/week) for 3 months with flexible scheduling across Fall, Spring, Summer, and Winter. Exceptional interns may be considered for future part-time or full-time roles.
