Student Intern

The Postal Regulatory Commission is offering an exciting three‑month current student internship opportunity for a highly motivated and inquisitive individual to support an AI document indexing project. The selected intern will report to the Commission’s Washington, DC office on a daily basis, with occasional telework permitted. 

The 2026 OAC Summer Intern will be responsible for an AI document indexing project. 

The direct responsibility of this position is to collect and index over 20 years of PDF, Excel, SAS and other data formats. The project will require developing and implementing a catalog system. The incumbent will be given clear and actionable direction on how to develop and apply the index. The incumbent will be responsible for collecting the data and applying the index. The incumbent will be responsible for reviewing the documents and data to ensure the index has been properly and completely applied. 

As a capstone to this project, the incumbent will be responsible for developing and proving a training on how to use the AI document search.
