ABOUT SPEEDX
SpeedX is a technology-driven parcel carrier reimagining how goods move across the continental US. We operate at the intersection of logistics infrastructure and modern software — deploying AI across commercial strategy, financial operations, and network intelligence to build a carrier that competes on data as much as on trucks. We move fast, we build in-house, and we are actively modernizing every layer of the business. This internship puts you inside that transformation.
THE ROLE
Not your average internship. You will be embedded directly with SpeedX's Chief Strategy Officer, helping reshape how a national parcel carrier competes in the age of AI — across pricing, sales, financial planning, and commercial operations. Real work. Real stakes. Real visibility at the executive level.
WHAT YOU'LL WORK ON
- Build and deploy AI-powered tools supporting sales, pricing, and financial operations across SpeedX's commercial and finance functions
- Contribute to the SpeedX AI deployment — a structured rollout across seven commercial pods and key finance workflows
- Analyze revenue, cost, and operational data to surface insights that drive executive-level decisions
- Prototype dashboards, automation workflows, and prompt engineering frameworks with real production stakes
- Support financial modernization initiatives including reporting, forecasting, and unit economics tooling
- Work directly with senior leadership on strategy, competitive analysis, and client-facing materials
- Design and build internal APIs connecting SpeedX’s operational data systems to commercial and financial tooling — helping teams access real-time information without engineering bottlenecks
- Contribute to database architecture and data modeling work supporting SpeedX’s modernization stack — structuring clean, queryable foundations for pricing, revenue, and operations data
WHAT YOU BRING
- Current enrollment in CS, data science, engineering, finance, or a quantitative STEM program
- Hands-on curiosity about AI and LLM tooling — you have built things with it, not just read about it
- Comfort working with data: SQL, Python, or Excel at a high level
- Entrepreneurial instinct — you identify and solve problems without being asked
- Strong written communication; you can translate technical work into executive-ready outputs
- Ability to move fast and operate comfortably in ambiguity
NICE TO HAVE
- Prompt engineering, RAG pipeline, or LLM API integration experience
- Exposure to logistics, supply chain, or transportation industries
- BI tool experience (Tableau, Power BI) or web-based dashboard development
- Background in FP&A, financial modeling, or accounting systems
- Prior startup, consulting, or high-growth operator experience
